How to Create a Strategy for Cyber MondayCyber Monday can make or break a season for an online retailer. If your business has been down at all in the past three quarters, now is the time to pull it out. Now is the day to take back the momentum which you need to get to the big goal. Cyber Monday is what you may have been thinking about since August. If you feel like you still have some planning to do, check out our guide to feel fully prepared for the biggest day of your season so far.

How to Create a Strategy for Cyber Monday

Plan, plan and then plan some more. Cyber Monday needs to go off without a hitch. One of the benefits to Cyber Monday for the consumer is that they do not feel as if they have to wait in line. There is no standing in the cold waiting for the store to open at 3am to get the door buster deals. Your client will log on to get their deals that day. Many of them will still be in their pajamas and have hot coffee at their side, so you want to make this as enjoyable as possible.

What’s the Big Deal

Besides being a big deal for your bottom line, clients are looking for their Cyber Monday deal. They can shop with you any day of the week. What they want on Cyber Monday is the doorbuster sale which they did not have to wait in line for on Friday. If you do not plan a special sale, you may lose clients. Additionally, if there is a lag in business on Cyber Monday, use your social media to release a special deal on Facebook or Twitter if you need that extra boost.

Make It Easy to Shop

Make sure that your webpage will load well and be easy to navigate on that big day. When deciding on how to create a strategy for Cyber Monday do not just think about showing the clients the sales, think about how easy it should be for them to shop. The web pages which they will have to navigate through are like the aisles of a store. Make it easy for a client whether they are shopping from home or shopping on their phones.

Creative Inspiration

Use your blog to talk up Cyber Monday without shouting about it. Your blog can be creative. For instance, if you are a home goods store, you should fill the pages with articles about decorating for the holidays, about gifting the hostess for all the holiday parties and about throwing the perfect dinner party. These creative ways to design organic content will inspire your clients and customers to pick up the items you have to create the experience for themselves.

How to Create a Strategy for Cyber Monday: KISS

Keep Cyber Monday clean and simple. This day is about ease of shopping and great deals. Make it fun and you can make fourth quarter a success.
