A great way to drive traffic to your website is to publish highly engaging and shareable content; it’s one of the cornerstones of inbound marketing. Not only does doing his help your SEO efforts, but the higher social sharing means that more people will see it via their friends’ posts. All of this will naturally increase your traffic, Leads and30Days-Blog2.jpg eventually sales. The problem is, while shareable content might a good bet to increase traffic, there are no guarantees that the created content will be socially shared. Or is there? While not a “sure thing”, there are things you can do to increase your chances of getting more shares:

Add Social Sharing Buttons

One of the most important thing you can do to increase shares to is to make it easy for your blog readers to do so. Provide icons somewhere on your blog that allows them to share with their social media followers right in the tab they are already reading your blog in, without copying your blog URL and pasting it into a new window with their social media platform open. This should be easily done by your website designer and can make a big difference.

Make Sure Your Mobile Friendly

It’s no secret how important optimizing for mobile users is; we've discussed it in several other blogs already. While you already know it effects your website design and your SEO efforts, you may not realize it effects your blog shares as well. But it makes sense- no one will share a piece of content that isn’t showing up correctly on their mobile device, because they won’t be sticking around long enough to read it and decide it's share-worthy in the first place.

If you want people to share your content, you better have something great to say. Thought leaders are people who can provide valuable information about a subject. As a thought leader, people will flock to your website for information, and then share it after they find it useful. Useful content is extremely effective in the social world, because people are automatically more willing to share it.

Guest Blog

The term “guest blogging” refers to writing and publishing posts specifically to be content for someone else. Will this get you more shares though? Yes! Being more visible in your online community and getting noticed by potential customers can be beneficial to your brand and your own blog, a major perk of guest blogging. Guest blogging builds up your credibility and exposure, which in turn will lead to more visits and more shares of your blog too.

Remain Socially Active

It’s not enough to just post content and hope people share it for you. Share it yourself! Incorporate your own content into your social postings and you’re more likely to see some seriously promising results. Try to go beyond just talking about sharing your content in your feed; use your content to spark discussions or reply to ongoing onConsistent_Calendar.jpges. Be creative and inventive about it.

Be Consistent

The best way to naturally get shares is to have a lot of regular blog viewers. And how do you do this? By regularly posting new blogs, of course! If you consistently post blogs and keep your readers come back, they will share your interesting blogs with their friends and social media. It’s as simple as that.

Blogging the correct way may not be easy, but it’s certainly worth it. As part of a strong content marketing strategy, blogging will mean your company is 13x more likely to see positive ROI from your inbound marketing than those who don’t have a blog according to HubSpot’s research. This is just one statistic that shows how important creating, publishing, and sharing new content on a regular basis can be for your small business. Looking for more?
